8.25x12x2.5" deep box contains Whitman set #2004 © 1936. Contains complete amount of "224 Pages Of Pictures To Color," missing only three generic crayons. Attached to the center of the lid is 5x5" separate diecut thick cardboard Mickey Mouse figure. Text around this reads "Here Comes Mickey Mouse With His Big Big Color Set." The plain box bottom has split along one side edge but all corners remain tight. The lid has moderate scattered wear and aging, overall lt. discoloration spotting of the blue bkg., noticeable dust soiling appears on the Mickey cut-out. Lid remains tight. VG. The 224 pages are comprised of seven different 7.5x11.75" 32-page booklets. These pages feature reprinted images from various Whitman publications. Largely comprised of images from Mickey Mouse titles w/two picture panels per page. There are also a number of full page Donald Duck illustrations from coloring books. Only seven pages have been colored. All pages have lightly tanned w/age but remain clean. A few small margin tears but overall contents are VF. A very rare set, only the second we've seen.
