40x60” thin paper poster for c. 1930s English theater performance of the British folk tale “Dick Whittington And His Cat.” Story tells of a poor 14th century boy that becomes wealthy and eventually the Lord Mayor of London due to the mousing capabilities of his cat. Whittington is depicted on this poster as a woman with a large black cat sitting atop “London 10 Miles” marker. Poster has been folded but remains bright, bold and Exc.
