1” dia. button with bw photo of busty burlesque performer Tempest Storm at center with “El Rey –TS Club” text. “El Rey” refers to the El Rey Theatre in Oakland, CA. where Storm performed and where her fan club was based. Button by Star Engraving Co. c. 1950s. Scattered pinpoint age dottings along left at 8-9 o’clock area. VF. Another button for this club was produced with “Oakland El Rey Burlesk” name at top instead of just “El Rey.” We sold that button on its own for $179.00 in the past. 3.5x5.5” “Tempest Storm Fan Club” membership card/postcard has full color scantily-clad Storm on front and back reads “Dedicated To The Worship Of Feminine Loveliness – Tempest Storm Fan Club Officially Chartered By Oakland El Rey Burlesque Theatre” and goes on to state “This Certifies That _____ Is A Member In ‘Firm’ Standing.” Membership card is left blank. 1-5/8” crease at corner. Fine. Scarce. Last item in lot is 8.5x11” 36-page pressbook for “French Peep Show” filmed at the El Rey Theatre in Oakland, CA. where Storm’s professional burlesque debut took place. Inside has many bw photos of scantily-clad burlesquer performers including 2 pages featuring Storm “French Peep Show” was a 1950 short directed by Russ Meyer though pressbook has 1952 copyright. Pressbook has some pinch creases to spine and wear. Fine+.
