Item Description
This is an extraordinary example, old store stock and the nicest we've ever seen. From 1933. 4.5" tall clock with metal case comes in nicely illustrated box with die-cut lid. Lid features large image of Mickey, 3 side panels feature all-over images of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. Box is complete with all the cardboard inserts and instruction paper. Lid has small ink "X" on Mickey's face, light wear to die-cut design with a few faint creases. Rest of box shows just light aging but remains tight, clean with strong color. Still VF. Clock face features separate die-cut tin Mickey figure whose hands point at the numerals and body is designed to rotate as seconds tick. When we plugged the clock in, the starter knob on back vibrates but we could not get it to activate the mechanism to rotate Mickey. However, clock was never used and the electric cord is still wrapped as issued and attached are a pair of 1.5" diameter cardboard tags one of which features Mickey image along with original issue price of $1.50. Three sides of the clock have glossy paper band featuring character images matching those on the box sides. This superb example is essentially Mint as issued. A true rarity boxed and in this condition.
