Item Description
7.5x11x5" deep box w/carrying handle contains very nicely detailed and actual working tin litho typewriter. 1950s by T. Cohn Inc. Nice box art includes image on two side panels of Mickey typing a letter as he watches television in which two Mouseketeers appear on the screen, box text reads "Write To Your Favorite Mouseketeer." Box shows lt. aging and dust soiling but VF. Typewriter design includes simulated keys and pair of Mouse Club logos. At center is the letter wheel and typing bar. This letter wheel is used to select what alphabet letter you want to type. These letters are then printed out one at a time using the typing bar. Just like a "real" typewriter as you type the carriage moves. Comes w/7.5x9.5" two-sided bwr sheet that includes detailed instructions on using the toy, changing the ribbon, etc. plus bottom half of front of sheet was to be used to test out the typewriter. Sheet has noticeably tanned but remains clean. Tin body of typewriter has some tiny scattered paint nicks and scratches but is working and VF. Great design. Scarce.
