Item Description
Large hard plastic phone is 8.5x8.5x15" tall and comes in box w/color photo of this phone on four side panels. © 1976 American Telecommunications Corp. Box design includes word balloon above each phone image reading "Hey Minnie It's For You." Front panel of box has a 1" puncture at center, right side panel has 2x15" strip w/some tape residue staining. Separate carrying handle from top of box is missing but all cardboard interior inserts remain. Box still displays VF. Phone is designed w/12" tall Mickey figure in classic 1930s style w/pie-cut eyes and attached to the base which has wood grain design on side. This is the push-button variety, also issued as a rotary phone (see #1773). The handset rests in Mickey's right hand. We were not able to get the phone to work and the telephone wall cord it comes w/has one broken prong but this could be easily replaced and we see no reason why the phone shouldn't work. The back of the hand that holds the handset has yellowed w/age but phone's appearance for display remains Exc. Classic modern Mickey item.
