Item numbers 1292-2528 in auction 183
Item Description
Three painted and glazed ceramic figural banks, each about 3x3.5x6" tall. Each is a great figural image and they are depicted w/either their instrument or in the case of Practical Pig, his trowel, bases feature the material for which their houses were constructed, either hay, wood or bricks. Each has attractive silver accent on their hands as well as hats of Fifer and Practical Pigs as well as their instrument/tool. 1930s. Back edge of two bases marked "W. Disney." Underside of one has raised name of "Tomry." We believe these to be either French or Italian. The Fifer Pig has 1/8" chip off front of one foot and one back edge, some chipping to coin slot on back, tip of flute is off but not really noticeable when viewed straight on. Despite these defects, appearance remains glossy and Fine. Fiddler Pig has a couple of tiny paint flakes, tiny edge nick off top of one ear but VF. Practical Pig is Exc. Great set.
