Item Description
Each is 3-5/8x6.5”. Designs include Hitler and Tojo as monkeys with bombs raining down, Uncle Sam rolling up his sleeves while holding rifle with newspaper headline in bkg. “Wake Island Marines Now In Jap Prison Camp” with banner at bottom “America Is Not Free Till They Are Freed!” Hitler is being chased by Russian bear with text “The Man With The Bear Behind.” Japanese soldier with bandage on head and black eye titled “Midway” with text “Where He Lost Pants Trying To Save Face,” and sailor with caption “Join The U.S. Navy Crush The Japanese Menace! Destroy Nazism.” Four envelopes have patriotic stamps, one is marked “Free” and addressed to woman in Louisville, Ky. from a Major at camp in Arkansas. Uncle Sam envelope is addressed in pencil to recipient in Cleveland. Trace of lt. scattered wear but overall Fine/VF.
