4.5x5.5x9" tall beautifully painted and glazed ceramic w/mark on underside for this Italian company. This company signed a contract w/Disney in 1947 which lasted for about 10 years. This particular piece is c. 1947. One of two different to depict Donald as a golfer. This piece depicts him posed about to swing his golf club, a golf ball rests on the front of the base. Complete w/removable painted wood golf club. There are a pair of 1" stress hairlines caused when fired, one on the back of his hat, the other on his rear end. Piece has about a dozen tiny chips which have been professionally repaired. The overall appearance remains Exc. A truly impressive figurine. This is only about the third we've seen but the first we've been able to offer.
