Item Description
1943. 7x11” folded as issued poster opens to 22x28” with nice photo of 5 smiling brothers onboard ship behind hatch with “V” painted on it. Text reads “The Five Sullivan Brothers Missing In Action Off The Solomons They Did Their Part.” OWI poster #42 U.S. Government Printing Office. Unusual size variety of this iconic poster which commerated the loss of 5 brothers who served together on the same ship. This led to a change in armed service rules to not allow family members to serve in the same unit or on the same ship. The last poster we did like this was 28.5x40”. A few tiny holes at fold intersections. Exc. appearance.
