Classy #2883 c. late 1950s. 9-7/8x12x2-1/8” deep die-cut thin cardboard box has nice lid graphics with smiling Roy at upper left as part of frame design surrounding cellophane window. Side panels have repeat graphics of bullets along with Roy Rogers name. Right side panel has “Roy Rogers Pledge To Parents” with facsimile signature. Box lid has split at 2 corner seams with cellophane tape repair on inside corner area. Front edge panel has 1.75” diagonal tear. Lt. dust soil and scattered aging. VG. Top still displays Fine. Box contains rawhide leather double holster gun belt with 6” tall holsters with thin vinyl strips holding silver luster plastic bullets in place on front of each. Gun belt has metal conchos with text in low relief “Roy Rogers King Of The Cowboys.” Metal belt buckle has low relief western theme images. Holsters have lt. aging. Fine. Cap pistols are each 7-5/8” long die-cast nickel with “Roy Rogers” signature in low relief on each side with metal grips featuring relief image of Roy smiling and waving from back of rearing up Trigger. Nickel plating on pistols has aged to overall nice patina. Cap firing areas show lt. usage. Fine overall. Nicely designed with unusual smaller scale size. Rare. First we’ve seen in 44+ years.
