Item Description
Large and exceptionally nice 8x9x13.5" tall figural cookie jar from a c. 1951 Alice set of kitchen items produced by Regal China that also included salt & pepper, creamer, sugar and teapot. This is an exceptional image of a startled Alice w/her arms raised and mouth open. Around her feet at base are mushrooms. Underside has incised copyright and name "Alice In Wonderland." On the bottom half of the jar along top left edge of her dress is a 1" hairline but this is as fired. Only other notable defect is on the back left sleeve cuff of her dress which has an apparent tiny color touchup. For some reason, the top does not seat quite as it should but w/small bit of finesse, can be correctly positioned for display. Still an Exc. example of this rare cookie jar which is not only one of the nicest Alice items but also one of the nicest Disney cookie jars ever produced. This is only the third we've been able to offer in 38 years.
