3-1/8”dia. by 7/8” tall lucite/bakelite plastic base has photo of pretty Pacific Isander girl wearing lei and grass skirt smiling at viewer with more leis on her arm. Has hand-lettered text under lucite “Saipan-June 1944” with 3” long actual metal bullet coming out of her chest. The battle of Saipan was fought from June 15, 1944 to July 9, 1944. The 2nd Marine Division, 4th Marine Division and 27th Infantry Division commanded by Lt. Gen. Holland Smith defeated the 43rd Division of the Imperial Japanese Army commanded by Lt. Gen. Saito. Scattered lt. surface wear. Overall VF. Unique item with nice design.
