Item Description
Two items. c. 1898. First one is 6x8.5” glass with nice chromolithograph portrait of Dewey with American flag at left and eagle and shield at lower left with cannons and ammunition shells. Text reads “Rear Admiral Geo. Dewey U.S.N. Commander-In-Chief Of The Asiatic Squadron.” Barely noticeable small chip at lower left corner tip, still Fine overall. Second image is on 8x10” glass with large image in center and flags at upper left and right with text in center “The Avenger Of The Maine” and title at bottom “Admiral Geo. Dewey.” Lower right side has tiny moisture dot, chain frame has lt. oxidation. VF appearance.
