Item Description
Lot of 3 c. 1930s. First one is 4x4.5” titled “How One Wife Made It Pay.” A married girl wants to go shopping and talks to her girlfriend about how to get money. Girlfriend introduces her to rich man who pays her $100 and story ends with both girls back at apartment involved with each other. Next 2 books are each 3.5x5.5”. First is titled “His Bride Helps Him Get The Order-And How!” Young married couple checks into hotel and husband has to leave to make sales call. Older man he was going to see shows up and gets involved with wife and gives her big order which makes husband happy. Second title is “A Hollywood Secretary Goes To Work.” Girl applies for a job as a secretary and gets involved with the older boss and his assistant. All art is by Wesley Morse, also known for art on Bazooka Joe gum comics. Covers have lt. dust soil, second title has moderate front cover creasing and tiny piece gone from back cover. Overall group is VG/VF. Wonderful art and very well drawn. Second title is a bit unusual as it has extensive text dialogue. Nice large format and scarce titles.
