Item Description
Group contains all titles known to us, measuring between 2-7/8x4” to 3.25x4-1/8”. 1930s-1950s. Titles include “Air Necking, Pick Me Up An’ Run, South Pacific, Millie And Tillie, Close Up, A Forced Landing, Tropical Love, Smilin Jack, Smilin Jack, Flying High.” Story lines include Jack involved with Mary in cockpit of plane and both falling out, with girl in plane and parachuting out, with girl on tropical island, with twins, with girl in bedroom, with another girl on tropical island, with Dixie while Rufe is with Bonita, with Cindy, and with girl in plane which ends in crash landing. Scattered lt. dust soil here and there, a few lt. handling creases. Forced Landing title has moderate cover wear with oxidation at single staple. One “Smilin Jack” title has splits along spine and lt. creasing at left margin edge. Overall VG/VF. Four titles have art printed one side to the page. Several scarce titles.
