Item Description
8.5” tall overall with smiling Annie and Sandy standing full figure on base. ©1982 Tribune Co. Syndicate Inc. Top of base has artist name “Leonard Starr” at rear left and number “14” at right. Leonard Starr revived the Little Orphan Annie comic strip in 1979. It was re-titled “Annie” and he won the National Cartoonists Society Story Comic Strip Award in 1983 and 1984. He continued the strip until he retired in 2000. Very limited and probably only done for select editors or advertisers. Superbly detailed bronze with great likenesses. High quality.
