Top inside flap has instructions for replacement of bulb. .25" hole on box side, possibly where shoulder hinge of lantern was o/w clean, bright, strong original shape. VF. 2x2.75x7.5" tall tin lithographed lantern has glass globe in center w/original bulb. Arms are hinged w/stiff wire between hands to act as handle. Original rubber pipe appears at Popeye's mouth. Bottom back of trousers reads "© King Features Synd." w/Line Mar logo. Two .5" paint scuffs on blue trousers o/w lantern is N. Mint. c. 1950s.
