3x5.5x16" box w/text "© Bob Smith/Designed By Raye Copelan/Manufactured By Peter Puppet Playthings Inc. Made In U.S.A." Box sides read "Unitrol." Instructions inside lid. Lt. surface dust, scattered creases to surface paper on box o/w corners are strong, box is sturdy and VF. 16" tall wood/composition/cloth figure of Howdy, 23" to top of string mechanism. Colorful and detailed face and head. Cowboy boots have "HD" brand on them. Shirt is printed w/images of Howdy, Clarabell, Mr. Bluster and Dilly Dally. Movable mouth works. c. late 1940s.
