Item Description
The concept of gigantic exaggerated vegetables and fruits is rather common in the world of postcards but very infrequently seen in the world of celluloid. Here, what appears to be a giant melon, rests on a flatbed rail car bearing the initials of the company along with what are apparent dates of “1920-1921.” Company name is “Leonard, Crosset & Riley” and their locations are listed as “Ocala, Fla., Thomasville, Ga. Macon, Ga., Charleston, Mo.” Lower right edge has tiny area where brown tone is not quite as dark as the rest and on the reverse at this point there is a very trivial 1/8” cello split. Minor extra bends on the wire hook. Celluloid still displays N. Mint and an outstanding rare bill hook.
