Auction #201 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1408 in auction 201
Item Description
Silvered brass 1.5x2.25x3/8” thick. Lid is hinged to give access to wooden matches which can then be struck on the serrated bottom panel. Lid has a very shallow dent on one side just about 1/8” long. This side of the safe displays a hunter standing in a forest with his excited dog by his side and he aims his gun towards what seems to be a giant opossum which has been treed. On the opposite side, a huge bull moose tromps through a snowy forest. Few tiny spots where some silvering wore off the corners revealing a little brass tone on the underneath. Still overall VF and c. 1910.
