Item Description
1.5" with W&H backpaper although paper has become very tanned. Beautifully designed button with dark blue top and bottom accented by panel of bright yellow as if brilliant light is shining on the product. Full title is "Challenge Wind Mill And Feed Mill Company, Batavia, Ill." Center right shows the mechanism plus several blades and the captions below read "The Dandy Wind Mill/The King Of The Air." Text at left reads "Put In The Radiant Light Of Competition It Easily Maintains Its Superiority." c. 1900. Very slight bit of tan staining on the extreme right edge. Total of stained area visible is probably 1% with 99% of the piece displaying essentially Mint. Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Farm Equipment section #171. Comes with Hake's COA. One of only 3 examples we've had in 45 years and this is the CPB example.
