Item Description
Top celluloid is 1.75” with beautiful scene of muscular fireman swinging his axe while fire scene and he are all encircled by a hose spouting water. Text on the button reads “J.B. Bradley Hose Co. No. 1/Bolivar, N.Y.” Red ribbon joining the celluloids reads “At Southwestern Vol. Fireman’s Convention Salamanca, N.Y./Aug. 4-5/1915.” Suspended at bottom is beautiful 1.5” portrait of native American. This cello has .75” long rather large split along the reverse collet but not showing at all on the front. Both celluloids have taken on a slightly creamier tone due to the nature of the celluloid covering but none display any stain with exception of 2 exceedingly faint and small rim marks on the Indian button. Very impressive. Rare limited local event.
