Item Description
2.25” reading “Order Of The Golden Chain/World’s Fair Day/Oct. 8th, 1939.” This is a fraternal organization for Free Masons and their immediate female relatives, founded in 1929 in Asbury Park, NJ. During the Great Depression, the various local units contributed necessities to hospitals, nursing homes and orphanages and they did similar work during World War II. Reverse has oxidation and trivial 1/16” cello split by the collet which causes no problem. Front has barely visible 1/32” age dot near the top edge.
