Item is 3-5/8” tall consisting of rwb ribbon folded over the reverse and with a pair of 1.5” extremely pointy vertical pins extending from the cloth so the piece can be fastened to a uniform. The back of the octagonal suspension shows an outline of the country of France with a double-barred cross at the center. While this is a very professionally made item, we’re not sure of its status as an official piece as the octagonal suspension is made of aluminum rather than a more substantial metal. In any case, condition is essentially Mint. Only example we’ve seen.
