Item Description
9x13-1/8x2.5” deep tin cardboard box has nice graphics on lid with Fess Parker as Davy Crockett at upper left and art image of canteen and powder horn contained inside. Daisy #2126 c. 1955. Contains original die-cut thin cardboard insert with instructions for using canteen and pouch. Box has trace of lt. dust soil and aging. Clean, tight and VF. Original insert has some aging. Fine. Insert describes canteen as “Made Of Non-Breakable Polyethylene/One Pint Capacity/Genuine Sueded Leather Pouch And Adjustable Shoulder Strap.” Describes powder horn as “Molded Plastic Construction/Genuine Sueded Leather Sheath/Adjustable Shoulder Carry-Cord.” Canteen pouch has attached 1.75” tall plastic arrowhead with Daisy logo on one side and text on reverse “Davy Crockett Be Sure You Are Right Then Go Ahead.” Canteen has Daisy logo in low relief on one side along with “Davy Crockett” sticker at top. Powder horn has low relief text on cap “Walt Disney’s Frontierland.” Old store stock. Powder horn sheath has st. discoloration to plated brass decorations on underside. Not offensive. Rest of contents N. Mint. Impressive set by well known manufacturer. Nicely designed. First we’ve seen in our 44+ years.
