1.5” black on deep red illustration originally done by Sir John Tenniel for the book but here shown in close-up with caterpillar smoking water pipe seated upon a mushroom with Alice shown only from the eyes up peering at him from over the mushroom’s edge. Button has no backpaper and no maker’s name. It dates from the late 1960s era of LSD use. Essentially Mint. From the Morry Greener Collection.
