This 3” button has blue text “Tech Senior June ‘65/Electrical.” This button is not identified by a button maker but we think it is possibly from Philadelphia as the colors for the technical school “Bok” are blue and white matching the primary colors on this button. On this button, all the blue color (except character’s shirt) is printed and under the celluloid. All other color has been applied onto the surface of the celluloid. It seems like the button’s original owner wanted to take what was basically a blue and white button and transform it into something more colorful. At the lower left, there is a irregular black shadow design and upon this is lightly inscribed the name “Joey.” Button has some small tan spotting around its entire perimeter but not going very deep into the central area. The character portrayed is the Weird-O known as Digger. A customized version of a rare button and the first example we’ve seen.
