Item Description
Gold luster case is 1-7/16x1-3/8” with no markings on the dial or case whatsoever. Featured is full color photo of Burr with just the lower right arm of his wheelchair visible on the dial’s edge. Watch has minute, hour and second hands although it has been over-wound so not operating but still displaying essentially Mint. This Universal TV series ran on NBC from 1967 through 1975 and starred Burr as the wheelchair-using Chief of Detectives, Robert T. Ironside. The character’s debut was a TV movie from March 28, 1967. Burr received 6 Emmy nominations and 2 Golden Globe nominations. A well-made piece featuring “Alligator Calf” black bands and very likely a cast member’s item only. Only example we’ve seen.
