We know of three 1.25” buttons in this series designating the ranks in the Buchan’s Lone Ranger Community Safety Club as Member, Deputy and Captain. These are 7 of the other 9 known buttons in the 7/8” size. Each button carries the name of the sponsor “Buchan’s” but in addition there are a few words on each button plus the one with image of Lone Ranger riding Silver which is one of the rarest and key buttons in the set captioned “Lone Ranger Loaf.” Photo may show a little dust on upper edge but this is now removed. There are a couple of white dots on the letters “NE” of “LONE” but these are as-printed. There is also just a trace of air under the celluloid but barely perceptible even in reflected light. Button displays essentially Mint as made. The wording on the other 6 buttons other than company name is as follows: “Tonto” Buttermilk Bread/”The Curb’s The Limit”/”Mask Rider” For School Lunch/”Silver Bullet” For Radiant Vitality/”Hi-Yo Silver” Play Safe/”Lone Ranger” Enriched Bread. This last has pinpoint faint tan mark on rim edge but all others are essentially Mint as issued. A rare group. Comes with Hake’s COA.
