Very early Annie premium from 1931 as a 1.25” button which was sent to respondents who voted in an Ovaltine-sponsored contest indicating their preference “Showing That You Like Orphan Annie’s Way Of Making Ice Cold Ovaltine Best.” Those who voted for an alternative method received the “Joe Corntassel” button. Trivial loss of silver flashing from the reverse. Curl has name of maker Parisian Novelty. Front has just the barest trace of a few lt. hairline scratches hardly showing even in reflected light. The piece displays in gorgeous glossy Mint condition with wonderful color. This auction includes original button art by Parisian Novelty featuring the Orphan Annie image used on buttons for her endorsements of various products such as a sweater and ice cream.
