Item Description
Large 10” tall tin litho with 11” dia. opening. Produced in 1936 by Geuder, Paeschke & Fry Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They produced 2 different waste baskets as well as the classic Mickey Mouse lunch kit. This one features Mickey atop a mountain looking off into the distance. Gathered around him are Minnie, Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. The other waste basket this company produced featured these same characters in a boating scene. See page #96 of Disneyana by Munsey for this company’s items. Entire interior surface and underside had traces of oxidation and have since been coated with thin layer of white paint. Outside surface has all-over obvious wear and aging including soiling, scattered small indents, nicks and scratches. Overall just Good but very rare, the only example we’ve offered in our 44 years. From the Deak Stagemyer Collection.
