From 1955 and either French or Canadian as per spelling of guitar as “Guitare.” Both box and guitar very similar in design to the model produced by Peter Puppet Playthings, Inc. also in 1955. Box includes image of Davy playing the guitar on front/back and text includes Walt Disney name but no manufacturer is indicated. Box shows wear and aging including a number of edge splits and carrying handle is mostly missing. VG. Guitar is 24.5” in length with wood body and metal finger board. Has all 4 original tuning keys but only 3 strings remain. Has attached cord shoulder strap. At center of the head is label with Davy name and portrait and Davy’s name also appears on body. Trace of edge wear mostly to back of body including a .25” surface flake. VF. First we’ve seen of this variety in our 44 years.
