Complete set of 25. Each is 2.75x4-3/8”. All are variety with small number at top left, illustrations done in bw/red/yellow and with blank reverses (see next item #2812 for variety near set). Bottom margin of each card reads “One Of A Series Of 25 Cards Given Away With Each Piece Of Adams’ Yellow Kid Chewing Gum.” ©1896 R.F. Outcault and marked “By Permission N.Y. Journal.” Choice art with The Yellow Kid prominently featured on every card. Eight backs have noticeable wear and/or surface paper adhered to surface where these were once mounted. All cards have trace of margin aging/wear. A few cards have bit heavier wear and/or aging, creases, corner tip chips and are Good. All others are VG to Exc. Scarce as a complete set.
