Item Description
1935 by Gum, Inc. 95 of the 96 cards issued missing only #92. Each is 2.5x3-1/8” with choice color art on fronts and text backs. Card #21 features Walt Disney himself. Others primarily feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse although other characters appearing on certain cards include Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. Two cards are Canadian issue by O-Pee-Chee, all others are by Gum, Inc. Most are type 2 backs, only a few type 1 varieties. About 50% of the cards have some degree of wear as once scrapbook mounted. This varies from just some light glue residue staining to noticeable surface paper loss. We have graded these cards based on their front visual appeal, not taking any of the wear to backs into account but obviously those that are affected by these issues would grade lower overall. However, as is, still a near set of this classic gum card set with much front visual appeal. Front grades and number in that grade are N. Mint – 8; Exc./N. Mint – 24; Exc. – 19; VG/Exc. – 12; VG – 19; Good – 13.
