Item Description
7.5x11” with 32 pages. Issued in 1968. Album is divided into 3 sections – Batman/Man From U.N.C.L.E./Tanks. Designed to hold a total of 283 cards. 152 of these were for Batman and 52 are mounted at appropriate spots. Each is 2.25x3” and primarily are Uruguayan versions of cards issued by Topps in 1966 (those with text titles appear in Spanish on these cards). This includes Topps cards that featured both artwork and photos, plus some additional art appears on other cards most likely taken from comic books. Fourteen of the 55 U.N.C.L.E. cards are here. These feature color photos. 15 of the 76 tank cards are here, these are smaller 1.5x2” format. In total 88 of 283 cards have been mounted. Great cover art featuring large Batman logo on front, back cover is image of Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin in Batmobile and on either side are images of Solo and a tank. Additional card series info and Batman text/image inside back cover. Album has all-over wear and aging, contents pulled loose from one staple but still intact to cover by second staple. Cards also have scattered wear and aging as mounted. Cover VG, pages Good to VG while cards are VG to Exc. A rare album, the first we’ve offered in our 44 years. From the Saul Ferris Collection.
