Item Description
1945. 10-5/8x13-3/8" glossy showing her with Lenore Aubert studying script on movie set. Reverse side has text caption along with "Len Weissman Photo" ink stamp. Landis (1919-1948) died at age 29. She won a studio contract with Warner Bros and became at bit player in 1937 films including "A Star Is Born, A Day At The Races, And The Emperor's Candlesticks". In 1940 she was cast as Loana in "One Million B.C." where her beauty and revealing costume got her recognition. She went on to greater fame in 1942 with "Manila Calling" and "The Powers Girl". Her final two films were released in 1948, making a total of 49 pictures. Photo has a few creases at corner tips. Most image area is VF. High quality.
