©Bob Smith c. 1948-1950. 5.5x15.75x3.25" deep shrink-wrapped box has choice lid graphics of dancing Howdy gesturing towards Princess Summer Fall Winter Spring, Clarabell, and Dilly Dally on lid top and their art images on end panels. Made by Peter Puppet Playthings, Inc. designed by Raye Copelan. Left side panel still has portion of original price sticker, a few lt. handling creases around sides but VF as shrink-wrapped. 15" tall composition marionette has movable jaw and is complete w/separate plastic eyeglasses and watch w/metal chain, both of which are usually missing. Composition head, hands and feet. Trace of lt. dust soil on felt collar and tie, a few tiny color rubs on face but overall as nice as they come. Bright color and great design.
