Item Description
c. early 1950s. 12-1/8x19.5" shrink-wrapped archival mat has two openings. Top has 6x8.5" w/nice photo of Buffalo Bob pointing to Howdy who's looking at new cast member marionette. Bottom opening is 6.5x8.25" with "N.B.C. Television Photo" printed press release title "Talking Back To Flapdoodle" including "In Howdy Doody's Never-Never Land, Bob Smith And Howdy Himself Try To Get A Word In Edgewise With The Garrulous, Always-Excited Flapdoodle". Caption notes the program is telecast Mondays through Fridays from 5:30 to 6:00pm EST. Press release has some creasing at bottom, Bob Smith's name has a pair of blue pencil lines, o/w Fine with N.Mint photo. Historical Howdy Doody item. Ready to frame.
