Item Description
c. 1950. Made by Tigrett Enterprises Chicago. 6x10x1.75" thin cardboard box with die-cut lid has nice photo with Hoppy holding young boy dressed as cowboy with both smiling at viewer and Hoppy shooting gun. Text at upper left "First New Invention in Toy Guns in 50 Years!". Underside has directions for assembly along with re-order blank to order more paper rolls to use with gun. Box has lt. dust soil with some creasing at right side. Fine. 9" long plastic gun with 1.5" diameter barrel holds rolled up paper with repeat pattern of "Hoppy" name and image with gun. Gun is spring loaded and when spring is released, the rolled paper shoots out at an estimated 24" in a cone shape. Handle has nice relief image of Hoppy on each side with facsimile signature "For My Pal Hoppy" on frame. Zoomerang paper roll is still in box insert with original band. Never placed in gun. Gun and roll are Exc. Wonderful design.
