Item Description
©1953 Lee Howard Miami Beach, Florida. 2.5" dia., 4.75" tall tin litho container has nice art of Abner handing coins to Daisy Mae, both saying "It Sho' Pays To Save!" while reverse side shows character "Money Ha-Ha" with bills and coins coming out of his ears as he stands on top of yellow sign noting in text how much this container will hold. Money Ha-Ha is an interesting character, perhaps only created for this bank. Inset circles have nice art images of Mammy, Pappy, Lonesome Polecat and Wolf Gal. Top of lid has text for "Niagara County Savings Bank" in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Tiny traceS of wear. VF. Bright color and great design. From the Morry Greener Collection.
