Item Description
Lot consists of four items. First is 3.5" dia. button from the 1967 Merry
Marvel Marching Society Kit. Has text that reads "Make Mine Marvel" and
features facial images of Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk, Thor, Sub-Mariner, Human
Torch, Ice Man, The Thing, Dr. Strange, Nick Fury, Daredevil, Iron Man, Captain
America. Lt. aging but remains glossy and bright, Exc. Two 6x9.25"
psychedelic/black light greeting cards w/6.5x9.75" neon green envelopes. Cards
feature images of The Silver Surfer and Dr. Strange. Both are brightly colored
and black light style. Silver Surfer is done in a Kirby-like style and Dr.
Strange is done in Adkins-like style. Images were used by the Third Eye Poster
Co. who made large black light posters in the early 1970s. Cards are N. Mint.
Also included in lot is "Captain America Put-Ons" transfer. 11-3/8x14" sealed
bag contains 11x13" iron-on transfer made by Royal Prints and put-on image was
copyrighted in 1970 by Magazine Management Co. Inc., Marvel Comics Group. Bag
header features image of iron and several other images that could be used as a
put-on including cars and Mighty Mouse. Actual put-on image is of cover to
Captain America comic book #124 which features him being attacked from front and
behind. Bag has some lt. handling wear, transfer has a 9" lt. crease which does
not go onto image o/w Mint as issued.
