Item Description
Large, very high relief bronzed white metal 5x9.5x13" tall. Thirteen people are shown at tables and bar with scenes of drink pouring, being served by waiter, cocktail shaking and raising glasses/bottle in a toast to the end of Prohibition. The back bar has bottles covering three tall shelves. Left edge has bronze plating off left side of standing man and shelf edge, but overall about 95% of bronze is intact. At top a woman reclines and lifts a glass. Wind up clock by United Clock Corp. has 1934 copyright. Scene is of dancers and orchestra. Conductor's arm with baton is a well-crafted die-cut cardboard replacement but not obvious unless closely viewed and it moves up and down properly to count the seconds. Missing one generic brass nut (of three) from case back. Extremely elaborate and rare design. Fine and working.
