Item Description
Three items. Stiff paper menu is 7.5x11.5" with four pages with die-cut holes at left. Nice front cover art has planes flying over "Aviation Grill" with text at bottom "We Serve Ruppert Beer And Ale" and date of 1940 at right. Menu has loose stiff paper insert with bar item specialties dated 1939 and inside front cover of menu has "I Am An American Day" card stapled at top dated October 15, 1940. Menu and insert have lt. vertical fold through center with bit of lt. tanning around sides. Fine appearance. Glazed ceramic ashtray is 4.75" diameter with nice art image of overhead view of "Aviation Building" with hand-painted blue slots for cigarettes. Ashtray shows some lt. wear to text. No chips. VF. Last item is 8.5x11" soft cover "Official Air Book" with nice art image on front cover of planes fanning out above aviation building. Contains 72 b/w slick paper pages with numerous illustrations of aviation past, present, and future. Book has a few lt. handling creases, blank back cover has moderate to heavy dust soil with a few moisture marks. Overall cover is Good, inside is Fine. Nice assortment.
