Item Description
Made in Germany for the English market. 1-1/8x2.75x4.25" tall thin cardboard slipcase box has paper label on top with nice image of smiling Felix doing the Irish jig between hedges. Box has some dust soil and wear around edges, box bottom has come loose but is here. Label has text at bottom "Exclusive Rights Held By Mr. W.H.C. London By Arrangement With Mr. Pat Sullivan". Overall VG. Contains complete set of 48 cards, each 2-3/8x3.5" with eight cards each of the six differnt images each printed on front with blank reverses and instruction paper. Wonderful art includes classic image of Felix walking, hugging white kitty girlfriend as she says "Oh Felix Stop It!" with his tail turned in to a question mark as he looks at viewer smiling, dancing with kitty, smiling and smoking cigar carrying case as she cries and waves good bye, mouse saying "Swank Felix!" as he points to himself smiling, Felix angry, and Felix with his tail turned in to a question mark saying "Where's That Bally Dog?" as mouse says "What O! Felix Has The Kruschen Feeling!", and Felix doing the Irish jig. Great poses, similar to those on English postcard sets. Cards are very slightly but evenly tanned with age. Deck is VF overall. Wonderful early Felix images.
