Chicago. 9-5/8x12.75x7/8" deep thin cardboard box has nice lid art signed by Hitt showing Captain-like character snoring in chair with lit cigar which has just had a large firecracker placed next to it by laughing Hans and Fritz-like boys as Mama comes through doorway innocently carrying jar of gasoline and overalls. Lid is lightly faded and worn around edges with splits in three corners. Some dust soil. VG. 12.25x18.5" thin cardboard game board shows the boys in various activities including about to place lobster on Captain's head while he's taking a bath, stealing a pie, tying can to dog's tail, hitting Captain in head with pea shooter, and lighting firecracker near dog. Top has nice art of them being chased by the Captain who is carrying club with nail in it as they run toward cave. Game board is folded as issued with tiny tear at right side extreme edge. Fine. Generic box bottom has splits repaired with paper tape. Comes with original "Mama's-Darlings" paper envelope which has been stapled shut and contains playing pieces. No instructions. Scarce game with nice graphics.
