Includes 8x10" glossy with Steele as The Masked Marvel, 8-1/8x10.5" "Serial Pictorial" 16 page stiff paper magazine issue number 2 in series for 1943 Masked Marvel serial with full page photos of Steele as The Masked Marvel throughout, 8-3/8x11" "The Tom Crier" one page newsletter, 8.5x10-7/8" club membership certificate signed in ballpoint pen by Executive President Don Glut, membership card also signed in ink by Don Glut with photo of Steele as Masked Marvel, and "Republic Corral V.I.S. Member" card. Three pieces have Steele facsimile signature. In addition, lot also comes with issues of "Cliff Hanger Comics" number 1A and number 2A which feature Steele as the Masked Marvel on the cover. Glossy photo has a few lt. handling creases, otherwise group is VF/Exc. The Masked Marvel was a 12 chapter serial which had the hero dressed in a business suit and a face mask fighting a Japanese saboteur and his espionage organization. The audience doesn't know who the hero is and are finally told at the end of the serial that he is one of a group of special investigators. Steele played the Masked Marvel as well as two villains. Interesting group.
