Item Description
Published by New Friday Publications Inc. Contains origin "Blackout" story by Don Rico. Other contents include nice full page ad for first issue of "Daredevil" and inside back cover full page ad for "Captain Battle Boys Brigade" club. See rare club button item #1779. Front cover is by Harrison showing Captain Battle fighting villains and about to rescue man who is tied to slab on floor. Lower left of front cover has 1/8" strip of cellophane tape which extends onto .25" of back cover. Back cover has an additional .5" strip of cellophane tape at bottom and at left side edge. Top of cover has tiny piece of cellophane tape which extends around spine onto back cover. Inside cover is lightly but evenly tanned. Book has very faint lt. crease in .5" area. Overall covers are VG+, inside pages are Fine. Nice art throughout. This title became "Boy Comics" from #3 on.
