Item Description
17.5x17.5x1.75" thin cardboard box c. 1930s. Front has bold image of Dick Tracy bursting through target aiming pistol at viewer. Thin cardboard box is creased around edges with cellophane tape repairs on two sides with 2.5" tear at upper right missing a .25x1" piece. Despite problems, still bright and VG. 17" dia. cardboard target is variety without wood easel back, has die-cut hole at top for hanging. Has nice art by creator Chester Gould with smiling Tracy pointing towards 1,000 score on target. Has copyright next to Gould name and text at bottom Licensed By Famous Artists Syndicate Inc. Target has trace of lt. wear with faint 5.5" vertical dust streak near bottom. Fine with no warping. Comes with original 7.25" long painted pressed steel gun. Has oxidation on trigger but otherwise working and Exc. Complete with three rubber-tipped wood-shaft darts, also Exc. Superbly designed set with choice graphics.
