5.5x8.25" first edition published by Grosset & Dunlap with 249 pages. This book was based on a screen play for the 1933 RKO classic “King Kong” movie and was released prior to the film’s 1933 release. Book is novelized by Delos W. Lovelace, based on an idea by Edgar Wallace and Merian C. Cooper. End papers feature browntone photo images from the film including King Kong holding Fay Wray above city skyline and Wray about to be sacrificed to Kong by natives. Covers have some lt. dust soil with a few minor color rubs around edges. Fine. Original owner’s name is written in ink in 2.25" area at left side of inside front cover. Contents otherwise Exc. Interesting King Kong pre-release item.
